My Story
Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. My name is Maria and I am Wax Wizard! I love Harry Potter and Scentsy so it just makes sense lol.
I live in Forest Lake with my wonderful husband, my handsome little boy, and our fur babies! I just love my job and I love sharing the joy of Scentsy with new people! This is truly an amazing company. Scentsy has blessed me in so many ways. Let me tell you my story...
I started selling Scentsy in February 2015. My goal was to just make a little extra pocket money while getting free Scentsy for myself. I did pretty well too for my first few years! I got promoted 3 times and earned several awards. Made a lot of new friends along the way as well. That was something I was not prepared for and did not know how much it meant to me until I had it. The sisterhood. Scentsy isn't just a company it's s a family. I've met so many amazing women because of Scentsy. Some are consultants and some are customers but all of them I can call my friend now because of Scentsy.
Then something very life changing happened to me. May 1st of 2019 our beautiful home that we had bought the year prior started on fire while we were at work. Three weeks before my wedding too. We found out it was the dishwasher. Crazy right? That's a phone call you are never prepared for. I lost my home, my belongings, and my 3 beloved pets. It was heartbreaking to say the least. For the next year while our home was being rebuilt we were moved into an apartment. That was a very dark time for me. I had no care about anything, sadly, not even Scentsy. I took that time off from my business and my Scentsy family was very understanding. Many kept in contact with me and it really showed me how much of an amazing Scentsy family I really have.
In April 2020 we were FINALLY able to move home! Right around the week we moved home is when COVID got really bad so my daycare decided to close on me. Shortly after I was furloughed from my full-time job. The timing worked out perfectly so I was able to stay home with my son and get back into my Scentsy business. I feel like God really played a hand in that because time was exactly what I needed. During this time of being home with him I realized how much I love it! I never thought myself to be a stay-at-home mom type. I have always gone to work. I really felt like that's s what I needed to do. It's what everyone does right? Drop kids off at daycare then go to work. It was then when I realized I was working it just didn't feel like it because I enjoy it so much. I'm working my Scentsy business like a rockstar while I'm at home in my pajamas!
After having that self revelation it lit a fire back under me to go at my Scentsy business with a different mindset. This is no longer my little hobby this is my business. This is why I'm able to be home everyday and watch my little boy grow up.
